I’ve been neglecting work to do with the notion of ‘preservation’. This image is one of the few I made in a heady rush of enthusiasm. It’s no good sitting on an idea. Maybe ruminating, making visual explorations so the idea(s) remain in the foreground and not just put aside. This image, however, continues to excite me. Human hair twists and curls so well unlike synthetic hair (although that has its uses too). And the colour is over saturated which I also like. Slightly unnatural. Maybe a reaction to all those years spent with black and white photographs. Anyway I intend to make amends and return to my grand theme.
